1. Data controller

The controller of personal data collected through this site is Mr. Pop Marian-Viorel, a natural person acting as owner of Giant Elbrus kennel, registered with the FCI under number 3286.

2. What data we collect

Through the contact form: your name, phone number, email address, subject and the content of the message you send us. We do not collect ID document data, financial data, health data or any other special-category data.

Minimal technical usage data (pages viewed, rough device type, approximate country) via Vercel Analytics — cookieless, no fingerprinting, and never traceable back to an individual visitor.

A single strictly necessary technical cookie (preferred-locale) that remembers your chosen display language. Details are in the Cookie Policy.

3. Purpose and legal basis

We respond to your enquiries (questions about puppies, the breed, kennel visits, cooperation). Legal basis: our legitimate interest in communicating with people interested in the kennel's activity (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and the pre-contractual steps you request when you enquire about a puppy (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

We improve the site based on anonymous traffic statistics (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest).

We do not use your data for direct marketing, profiling, or automated decision-making.

4. Who else processes your data

Vercel Inc. — the provider that hosts the site and processes anonymous usage analytics. Vercel operates under standard contractual clauses for GDPR compliance.

Resend.com — the service that delivers your contact-form message to the kennel's inbox. Resend operates under standard contractual clauses for international data transfers.

We do not sell, rent or share your data with third parties for marketing or advertising.

5. How long we keep your data

Messages sent through the contact form are kept for up to 3 years from our last exchange, so we can pick up a conversation or answer follow-up questions. You can ask us to delete your data earlier at any time.

Anonymous Vercel Analytics statistics are retained per Vercel's own policy and cannot be used to identify an individual visitor.

6. Your rights

You have the right of access (to find out what data we hold about you), the right to rectification (to correct inaccurate data), the right to erasure (the 'right to be forgotten'), the right to restriction, the right to data portability, the right to object, and the right not to be subject to automated decisions.

To exercise any of these rights, send an email to giantelbrus@gmail.com. We will reply within 30 days at most, in line with Art. 12 GDPR.

7. Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe we have handled your data incorrectly, you can file a complaint with the Romanian Data Protection Authority (ANSPDCP).

8. Data security

The site runs over HTTPS, and our processors (Vercel, Resend) apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data.

The site has no online-payment functionality and does not collect financial data. We never store passwords or banking information.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the way we process data changes. The last-updated date is shown at the top of the page. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
