Cookie Policy
Last updated: 21 April 2026
giantelbrus.ro uses cookies in a minimal way — only what is needed for the site to work and for anonymous traffic statistics. This page explains exactly which cookies we use, why, and how you can control them.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser when you visit it. They let the site remember your preferences between visits (for example, the language you chose) without asking every time.
2. Cookies we use
We use a single strictly necessary cookie: preferred-locale — remembers the language you chose (ro, en, es, fr, it). Lifetime: 1 year. It contains no personally identifiable data.
This cookie is necessary for the multilingual site to work correctly and does not require explicit consent under ePrivacy and GDPR interpretations for strictly necessary cookies.
3. Anonymous traffic analytics
We use Vercel Analytics, a cookieless analytics service that does not rely on fingerprinting. Data is aggregated anonymously (pages viewed, rough device type, estimated country) and cannot be traced back to an individual visitor.
We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar or any other behavioural-tracking tool.
4. Third-party cookies
We do not embed scripts from social networks, tracking pixels, external video players or any other resources that would set third-party cookies.
The links to our Facebook, TikTok and YouTube profiles open those sites in a new tab. From that point on, the cookie policies of those platforms apply.
5. How to control cookies
You can delete cookies at any time from your browser settings (Chrome: chrome://settings/cookies, Firefox: about:preferences#privacy, Safari: Settings → Privacy).
If you block the preferred-locale cookie, the site will not remember your chosen language between visits, but every other feature will keep working as expected.
6. Personal data
For how we handle personal data collected through other channels (in particular the contact form), see the Privacy Policy.
7. Changes to this policy
We will update this page if the way we use cookies changes. The last-updated date is shown at the top.
